Who We Are

Beth Meyer, PhD, CPE
has been working in usability and human factors since 1989. She has enhanced the usability of products and services as diverse as financial and factory automation systems, adaptive performance support systems, advanced telephone services for residential and business customers, and web-based tools.

Beth holds a Ph.D. in engineering psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology. As part of her research there, she investigated issues of usability as they affect older adults. This work included one of the first published accounts of usability issues that older adults face when using the Internet, as well as a set of focus groups that identified some of the most critical usability issues for independent older adults in their daily living.

Beth has performed traditional experimental research, qualitative research, empirical usability evaluation (formal and otherwise), heuristic evaluation, user/task/needs analysis, and accessibility analysis for Section 255 compliance.
